1. Tell me about yourself and what you are passionate about
I am filled with happiness! I love adventures, sunshine, smiling, my dog, the sea and the little things in life! Being healthy and fit is a huge passion of mine – i thrive off the endorphins. I find being strong empowering, i love challenging myself and seeing how i much i can improve to be a better version of myself.
I enjoy cooking, coffee and the outdoors. I’m fulfilled by building strong relationships and sharing my love and happy as people in my life are the most important thing to me.
I also passionate about the human body – how incredible it is and how it can change so much over our lifetime. Movement is my passion – simple to complex movement, its all good and beautiful – it not only makes us feel so much better in terms of energy, it creates a balanced lifestyle and keeps us involved in so many things. I love fitness and working out, it makes me feel alive, it is my release and i don’t feel like myself without it i think just its apart of my soul.
2. If you could achieve your fitness goals by waving a magic wand, what would you wish for?
Hmmmn tricky one. I would have always said to join Cirque du Soleil but now i have been lifting I would love a ring muscle up and a 100kg + dead lift – yes please!
3. When training a client what makes you the happiest
I am so motivated by seeing clients develop confidence around their training and fitness journey. It’s so fulfilling when they start enjoying their workouts and start feeling healthier, stronger and leaner. It’s awesome to see them push themselves beyond their comfort zone, watching them progress through movement patterns and achieving things they never thought they could (strength or body composition goal) it’s very fullfilling, makes me feel smiley just writing this. Im happy when we unlock the mindset to bring positive association with training.
4. Favourite Workout Track or Playlist?
ohhh i mix it up constantly, it definitely depends on how i feel and the type of workout I’m doing. if its a high paced, high weight workout then something more upbeat to keep me on track and motivated. If its more accessory or a chilled workout then i like to have songs that are current with some acoustic mixed in so i can have a sing a long in my head. If i do steady state type cardio workout (walk/rowing for distance) i listen to podcasts i find my mind switches off more as I’m learning and listening.
5. Favourite Quote?
I used to have a quote book filled with them through my gymnastic career. If i read one i liked it would go straight into the book and i took it everywhere with me. I was so motivated by them, by their honesty and clarity through simplifying life, our choices and how we can always change the outcome. It still applies, if you want something you have to do all the small things to inch your way forward. These will add up and you will be closer to that goal or better than you were yesterday.
“stay true to yourself and you will end up incredibly happy”
“if you can’t stop thinking about it, don’t stop working for it”
