If you are anything like me you are constantly looking for new ways to be creative with healthy foods, and this sushi bowl is no exception. Perfect to pair with raw fish or any protein you desire this salad is sure to aid digestion and detoxification to allow your body to find balance and of course accelerate your results!

This recipe, inspired by Chef Bex Kaye is one that you should include as a staple to your diet.

Sushi Bowl
  • 200g rice
  • 120g edamame beans
  • 150g pomegranate gems
  • 2 large kale leaves
  • 2 sheets nori
  • 1 bunch watercress
  • 2Tbs black sesame seeds
  • small bunch coriander
  • 2cups broccoli, small pieces
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 cup saurkraut zest and juice 1 lemon
  • zest & juice 1/2 orange
  • 1Tbs agave syrup
  • 2Tbs tamari
  • 1Tbs rice vinegar
  1. Dressing
    Whisk together both lemon, orange and zests in a bowl with the vinegar, tamari and syrup.
  2. Cook rice in a saucepan with pinch of salt and around 450 mls water..Cook until rice the water has been absorbed. Then drain out off the pot and mix with half the sesame seeds and dress with some of dressing just so all the grains are coated.
  3. Now finely shred the kale and slice the avocado.
  4. Pile the rice into serving bowls and then start adding the other ingredients along sie each other so they are in their own piles.. I like to add more coriander on top with the remaining black sesame seeds and what ever dressing is left
